Engineer on a fixed-term contract returning to LCB, this time with Romé Voulhoux.

Manon DELPRAT – 23 ans

Elle a réalisé un parcours scientifique depuis le baccalauréat, en passant par une licence Science de la vie et un Master Microbiologie. Durant ses études, elle a pu découvrir la vie en laboratoire au sein du CNRS, ainsi qu’au Canada pendant 3 mois. Son CDD, dans l’équipe d’Axel Magalon, porte sur l’implication de l’alarmone (p)ppGpp chez E.coli en condition anaérobie. En effet, l’implication du (p)ppGpp dans la réponse stringente est, à l’heure actuelle, relativement comprise en aérobiose, mais complètement inconnue en anaérobiose. Son projet vise donc à identifier le rôle de cette alarmone durant la vie anaérobiose de E.coli, et quelles sont ces cibles moléculaires.

She has pursued a scientific path since high school, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and a Master’s in Microbiology. During her studies, she had the opportunity to experience laboratory work at the CNRS, as well as in Canada for 3 months. Her fixed-term contract with Axel Magalon’s team focuses on the involvement of the alarmone (p)ppGpp in E. coli under anaerobic conditions. Indeed, the role of (p)ppGpp in the stringent response is currently relatively well understood in aerobic conditions but completely unknown in anaerobic conditions. Her project therefore aims to identify the role of this alarmone during E. coli‘s anaerobic life and its molecular targets.
