En déplacement à Marseille, Mme Jamila El Alami, Directrice Générale du Centre National pour la Recherche Scientifique et Technique, a effectué une visite marquante organisée par l’Institut de Recherche pour le Développement, illustrant la vitalité des coopérations scientifiques franco-marocaines.
Après une première journée consacrée à la découverte de l’écosystème d’innovation d’Aix-Marseille, la séquence s’est poursuivie jeudi matin à la Délégation Provence et Corse du CNRS. Au programme : échanges sur les dispositifs de valorisation, présentation des actions de transfert technologique et mise en lumière des dynamiques régionales en matière d’innovation.
A cette occasion, la visite du Laboratoire de Chimie Bactérienne a constitué un temps fort de ce déplacement. Notre laboratoire, reconnu pour ses travaux en microbiologie fondamentale et appliquée, a offert une illustration concrète du lien entre recherche académique et valorisation.
Au cœur des échanges : plusieurs projets démontrant comment les découvertes scientifiques peuvent être transformées en applications à fort impact, notamment dans les domaines de la santé et des biotechnologies. Benjamin Ezraty, référent Innovation du laboratoire, et Mireille Ansaldi ont présenté leurs approches innovantes pour mieux comprendre les mécanismes bactériens, tout en développant des pistes de transfert vers le monde socio-économique.
Cette immersion a permis à la délégation marocaine d’appréhender concrètement les outils et méthodes mis en œuvre en France pour favoriser le passage de la recherche à l’innovation. Elle a également ouvert des perspectives de collaboration renforcée entre le LCB et les institutions de recherche marocaines.
Au-delà de la visite, cette séquence confirme le rôle structurant de l’IRD comme facilitateur de partenariats scientifiques à l’échelle internationale. Elle s’inscrit dans une dynamique de coopération durable, appelée à se poursuivre prochainement à Rabat, à l’occasion d’une nouvelle rencontre bilatérale.
En mettant en lumière l’excellence du LCB, cette visite illustre pleinement l’ambition partagée : faire de la recherche un levier d’innovation, de valorisation et d’impact au service des sociétés.
During a visit to Marseille, Ms. Jamila El Alami, CEO of the Centre National pour la Recherche Scientifique et Technique, took part in a significant visit organized by the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement, highlighting the strength of Franco-Moroccan scientific cooperation.
Following a first day dedicated to exploring the Aix-Marseille innovation ecosystem, the program continued on Thursday morning at the Provence and Corsica regional Delegation of the CNRS. The agenda included discussions on valorization mechanisms, presentations of technology transfer initiatives, and insights into regional innovation dynamics.
On this occasion, the visit to the Laboratoire de Chimie Bactérienne was a key highlight. Our laboratory, recognized for its work in both fundamental and applied microbiology, provided a concrete illustration of the link between academic research and valorization.
At the heart of the discussions were several projects demonstrating how scientific discoveries can be translated into high-impact applications, particularly in the fields of health and biotechnology. Benjamin Ezraty, the laboratory’s Innovation lead, and Mireille Ansaldi presented their innovative approaches to better understand bacterial mechanisms, while also developing pathways for transferring this knowledge to the socio-economic sector.
This immersion enabled the Moroccan delegation to gain practical insight into the tools and methods implemented in France to support the transition from research to innovation. It also opened up new prospects for strengthened collaboration between the LCB and Moroccan research institutions.
Beyond the visit itself, this sequence confirmed the structuring role of the IRD as a facilitator of international scientific partnerships. It is part of an ongoing dynamic of sustainable cooperation, set to continue soon in Rabat, on the occasion of a new bilateral meeting.
By showcasing the excellence of the LCB, this visit fully reflects a shared ambition: to make research a driver of innovation, valorization, and impact for the benefit of society.
